When can I go? We operate 7 days a week throughout the summer, spots are limited and must be reserved in advance! New Day-time tours are available for the Fall/Winter months!
How do I reserve my spot? Visit our booking page located HERE for glow tours, and HERE for day tours!
Are there any age restrictions? The minimum age to participate is 7 and all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
How long is the Glow tour? Around 75-90 minutes in duration.
Do I have to know how to swim? Yes, When engaging in any water sports you should know how to swim.
Can I bring my pet? We love furry friends but we do not allow pets of any kind in the kayaks.
Do I have to know how to kayak? Nope! Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will teach you the basics of paddling and you will be moving like a pro in no time!
What do I need to wear/bring? Swimsuit/active wear, water for hydration and a cheerful attitude. Wear clothing you do not mind getting wet in. A towel to leave in the car is helpful to sit on after the tour!
Where do we meet? 170 Charles Austin Dr, San Marcos TX 78666. We will meet at the blue van & trailer parked in the bus circle near Lions Club tubing.
Is there a weight limit? Each 2 person kayak can hold up to 425lbs. Combined weight of the two participants must be under 425lbs. No solo participants can be over 250lbs.
Do you provide lifejackets? Yes! Feel free to bring & wear your own, but we do have plenty available as they are required to wear during tours!
Where can I store my belongings? Please store all valuables hidden within your car. We can hold your keys for you while you are on the water.
Do we need to sign a waiver? Yes, you have a digital waiver linked in your booking email, and we also provide paper waivers upon arrival.
Can I bring my phone in the kayak? You may bring your device on the water AT YOUR OWN RISK. Your guide will have their phone on the water in case you want any pictures taken, which will be sent to you after the tour. Your guide will not take any pictures for you with your own phone. PaddleSMTX is not responsible for any damage caused to your device.
What is the cancellation policy? For cancellations, please email us at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund in full. We do not accept cancellations within 24 hours of your reservation. Email us at contact@paddlesmtx.com
What if the weather is bad? We will notify you 2 hours before the start time of your tour if the tour is cancelled due to weather. In the case of a weather cancelation, you have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. If the temperature is forecasted to drop below 60 degrees, we will cancel tours for that day and you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Additional Information:
All participants must sign a waiver and minors (under age 18) must have a guardian sign for them. Waivers will be provided upon arrival.
Please leave your valuables at home or well hidden within your vehicle. We will happily hold your keys for you while you are on the water, but are unable to hold any other personal items.
Bring water or other drinks in non-glass/non-styrofoam containers, preferably re-usable containers.
Minimum of 4 people required for a tour to take place. You can book with less than 4 people and will be notified day-of if other people have not signed up for the same tour in order to meet the 4 person minimum.
For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund in full. We do not accept cancellations within 24 hours of your reservation. In the case of inclement weather you have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
